I picked up a heater in town the other day to keep the house warm until we can get the heater in the basement fixed, an upright ceramic heater.  It seems to be working really good so far, keeping the house warm.  In fact, it warmed it up enough that I keep turning the heater off because it gets too warm in here.  I hope that trend keeps up right through the winter.

I’ve been putting dad’s top sheet and middle blanket in the dryer for a few minutes each night as he is getting ready to go to bed, which warms the bed up really well.  I toss a towel in at the same time so I can wrap it around his feet when they’re cold, works better than a hot water bottle.
